Spring Store: Efficient ERP-integrated online sales solution

Meconet is a partner in the manufacturing of metal products. They offer services from product design and prototyping to efficient mass production. With the renewed Spring Store, customers can easily and quickly search for, compare, and order standard springs, spring components, electrical installation supplies, and many other products related to metal manufacturing.

Objective: Better Service, Faster Sales, and More Efficient Processes

The revamped Spring Store had three main goals. First, the aim was to make it easier for customers to choose products and improve service by offering ordering options with their personalized prices.

Additionally, Meconet wanted to modernize the tools for handling sales orders, allowing salespeople to have more time to serve customers.

The internal goal was to streamline operations by automating the flow of product, customer, and order information between the ERP system and the online solution being developed.

Simplifying Product Selection for Professional Buyers

In designing the Spring Store, focus was placed on simplifying product selection for buyers. Using service design methods, a spring search function was created, allowing users to search by multiple technical specs.

For contract customers, features like saving shopping carts and submitting purchase proposals were added to streamline procurement.

Salespeople also received a custom interface to showcase products and create purchase proposals directly from the field.

As is often the case with successful digital solutions, the renewal of the Spring Store achieved multi-level benefits.

Benefits for Customers: Customers now receive 24/7 service. They can place orders anytime, from anywhere, using their personalized pricing. In addition to contract prices, customers can see product availability and their order history.

Benefits for Sales: Salespeople now always have access to all the necessary customer service information, no matter where they are. At the same time, they have more time to focus on project sales and reaching new customers, instead of routine inquiries.

Benefits for Internal Efficiency: Product information is automated between the ERP and Spring Store, so daily changes to the product range no longer require extra work. Ordering and order processing are automated, saving an estimated 15-30 minutes per order.

The equivalent "Fjäder butik" Spring Store has already been implemented and launched for the Swedish market. Meconet is investing heavily in the development of online sales, and the next solution is already in the planning stages.
